Under certain circumstances and for certain crimes, courts will allow a defendant placed on probation or deferred adjudication to early terminate community supervision. Texas law gives Judges discretion to end the probation after successfully fulfilling 1/3 of the term of the probation. However, many courts will not terminate before 1/2 the time has been successfully fulfilled.
